The Entomology laboratory includes temperature-regulated insectary modules, plant growth chambers, and basic chemistry facilities capable of supporting most any laboratory or field entomology research. We maintain colonies of key regional insect and arachnid pests for basic biological studies and for use in assays with new and existing compounds. Additionally, the entomology labs on both coasts support a comprehensive insecticide field testing program on company managed farms and/or with independent cooperating regional growers. Entomologists on site are experienced with methods that establish target pests on adjacent crops or overwintering hosts in order to maintain populations where the trials are conducted.

Nematodes have become increasingly important pests of agriculture crops worldwide. This is the result of both intensified cropping systems as well as the elimination of many soil applied chemicals formerly used as commercial nematicides. From the Florida facility, Pacific Ag has broad nematode research capabilities that include: specialized staff, nematology lab equipment, barrel micro-plots, and cultured nematode populations. Pacific Ag Group also has micro-plots in both eastern and western research facilities that support efficacy testing of experimental nematicides in a variety of growing conditions and climates.
